Body In Balance Physical Therapy is open and accepting new and existing patients.  Physical therapy is deemed an essential service by the State of Maine.

At Body in Balance Physical Therapy, we prioritize our patients’ optimal recovery, safety and well-being.  As has always been our practice, we will continue to treat one patient at a time to focus our attention on each patient’s unique needs.  This, along with new health and safety guidelines designed to slow the spread of COVID-19, decreases contact among people during therapy sessions.  We are also following the following safety measures:

- Asking patients to remain in their cars until the prior patient has left the building and we sanitize the treatment room.

- Screening employees and patients for fever and symptoms of the COVID 19 virus upon arrival to the office.

- Practicing hand hygiene before and after treatment by practitioner and patient, while practitioner wears gloves throughout the session.

- Wearing of masks throughout treatment by practitioner and patient, unless otherwise specified due to medical necessity. Masks will be provided if needed.

Body in Balance has gone further to mitigate risk of infection by adding a second treatment room to alternate treatment areas.  This further minimizes the risk of exposure by allowing timely, thorough cleaning of equipment and surfaces between treatments.

We are also providing telehealth or home visits for patients in need of physical therapy services who are at increased risk of contracting the virus, or who simply feel more comfortable remaining in their home. Additionally, we are offering free phone, telehealth, or in person screening to discuss concerns and determine if physical therapy is appropriate for your current condition. If you have questions or would like to discuss treatment options please contact us at 207-324-3745.

As always we are looking forward to helping our patients on the road to recovery.
